History

Our history, rooted in values rather than mere economic outcomes, is marked by fruitful relationships and collaborations within our local community, enriching our production of metal chains with added value.

Established in 1973 as a partnership between Giampietro Cortiana and associates, his two sons, Walter and Luca, took over as sole owners in 1988. Since then they have been leading the company to increasing success in the market. In 2007, the corporate transformation into SRL consolidated the company’s position on the international market.

In March 2000 the company obtained the UNI-EN-ISO 9001 Quality certification, committing ourselves to continuous improvement to meet the needs of the constantly evolving market.

In April 2020 the company also obtained the UNI-EN-ISO 14001 environmental certification, demonstrating its constant commitment to corporate sustainability.

Our accolades, including the 3rd place in the BenchArt project (recognising excellent Lombard artisan companies for “quality and innovation in production”) in 2009 and the 1st prize in the WELFARE INDEX SME (craft sector) competition in 2017, underscore our excellence in small metal chain production.

We proudly collaborate with Confartigianato Imprese and actively engage with universities and scientific institutions on innovative research projects in the Lecco region.

In addition, we promote collaborations with schools, associations and local institutions to involve young people and students in school-work orientation and alternation projects, thus spreading the culture, ethics and values of the craft, fundamental in our sector for the production of metal chains.

Our history is constantly evolving, with a look at the past but always oriented towards the future.
